Kinect interactive imagery, Local Projects, 2014
This physically engaging interactive was developed by Local Projects, and during my time there I co-directed a photo shoot that captures specific body poses that were then drawn into vector images. This is for Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum interactive experience where visitors will use the poses of their bodies to kinetically browse the object collection. A stacked menu of vector personas flips through itself to match the visitor’s pose, which will then hold or wear a highlighted object in the collection. Working with the direction of Erika Tarte and Kimberly Gim, I executed the carefully posed photoshoot and image creation using researched clothing and environments along with Edna Pei-Yu Lee. When selected, the figure interacts with the museum object or image.
